Schooling at Home vs. Homeschooling

Schooling at home is what the majority of families are attempting to do during this Covid-19 crisis. This is a community effort. This set up involves students, parents, teachers and administrators. Many students are receiving instruction while at home with the assistance of a classroom teacher teaching online or by phone from a remote location. Public schools are organizing this instruction by providing as many devices available for students to use while learning at home for the remainder of the academic school year. This is what being schooled at home looks like.

Homeschooling is where a parent or guardian is responsible to provide a complete education for the child, including academics, social and emotional skills, mental and spiritual wellness and physical well-being.
